メコン諸国の連携4大学と「地域創生課題解決能力と融合的視点をもつ理工系グローバル・リーダー人材の育成」を目指して推進した本事業が，コロナ禍の影響による1年間の延長を経て，最終年度を迎えました。本シンポジウムでは，これまでの5年間プラス1年間の成果を総括します。
第1部では，使用言語を英語とし，メコン諸国連携4大学を迎え，国際教育の観点から本事業の成果を報告します。また，第2部では，使用言語を日本語とし，インターンシップ受入企業・団体を迎えて，地域協働の観点から本事業を総括します。皆様のご参加をお待ちしております。
G-DORMとは
新潟大学工学部が開発した「ドミトリー型教育」に，新潟地域企業と連携した課題解決型インターンシップ等を組み合わせた短・中・長期の双方向留学による国際教育プログラムです。
主な特徴は，本学と連携4大学（カンボジア・王立プノンペン大学，ラオス・ラオス国立大学，タイ・チュラロンコン大学，ベトナム・ハノイ工科大学）の学生で学年縦断・分野横断・多国籍の学生チームを結成し，新潟またはメコン諸国での新潟地域関連企業等において，実課題の解決に英語を用いたグループワークで取り組む国際インターンシップ科目が必修となっていることです。
G-DORM project, which has been promoted with four partner universities in the Mekong countries, aims to "foster global SciTech leaders capable of solving regional vitalization issues from an integrative standpoint”. In this symposium, we will review the achievements of the past five years plus one additional year.
In the first part, we will summarize the achievements of this project in English from the viewpoint of international education, inviting four partner universities in the Mekong region. In the second part, we will summarize the project in Japanese from the viewpoint of regional cooperation, inviting companies and organizations that accepted internships.

What is G-DORM?
G-DORM (Global Dormitory Education) project, developed by the Faculty of Engineering, is an international student exchange program conducted in collaboration with enterprises related to Niigata.
In this project, students from Niigata University and four partner universities (Royal University of Phnom Penh, National University of Laos, Chulalongkorn University, and Hanoi University of Science and Technology) form cross-academic year, cross-disciplinary, multinational team, and engage in short, medium, or long-term group-work (GW) internship. This GW internship, in which students work in English to solve regional vitalization issues, is a required course for our exchange program.
